What it means to live a passionate life?

Segment 1 - " The presence within"

What does it mean to live a passionate life?  When we live a passionate life, our life feels fulfilling, purposeful, exciting and filled with possibilities. It's life aligned with destiny and your soul’s life purpose.

We would all like to feel that our lives are purposeful.  We all want to be passionate about what we are doing, to be excited about how we spend our days, to love ourselves and feel we are making a difference in the world.

Scientists who have studied passionate living in the United States have found that only 20 percent of us wake up feeling inspired, happy and passionate about their lives.  One of the only things you need for this state of joy is something to be passionate about.   Something that speaks to you, something that lights you up inside with a feeling that won't go away, that radiates within you, because it makes you feel purposeful and connected to your source of being.  

It doesn't matter what this passion is, the only requirement is that you feel an intensity about it and are willing to act with enthusiasm.  It's an awakening within you.
Take a moment to think about what you can be?  Perhaps you have an idea you've been carrying around with you for decades, such as writing a book that you know needs to be written, which only you have the wisdom and experience to create.  That's all you need, just the willingness to allow your passion to speak up and awaken from its dormant state.  

You don't have to know how to activate your long buried enthusiasm or precisely what to focus on.  What you need is the willingness and commitment to allow your passion to speak up and step forward.  You need a willingness to say yes to signals from within you, that want to be active.  

In the book Zorba the Greek, by Kanzantzakis, he details what a truly passionate person's life looks, sounds and feels like, living in bliss.  What he stated is " by believing passionately in something that does not yet exist, we create it."  So what he is talking about speaks to "the nonexistent which is whatever we have not sufficiently desired".

 
Segment - 2 “Passion always trumps excuses”

This kind of passion propels you in a direction that seems motivated by a force beyond your control.  It's the inner excitement of being on the right path, doing what feels good to you and you know you were meant to do.  Passion is the feeling that tells you this is the right thing to do.  Nothing can stand in the way.  It doesn't matter what anyone else says, this feeling is so good, that it cannot be ignored. When you're enthusiastic, nothing seems difficult.  When you have passion there are no risks.  Family, dramas become meaningless, money isn't an issue, you know that you have the strength and smarts and the rules laid down by others or what society tells you have no bearing on you whatsoever.  That's because “you” are answering your calling and the “you”, who is doing the answering is the highest part of you.

As a integrative Life Mastery Coach, I have learned that lasting success begins with discovering, staying connected to and getting good at your passions.  As you focus on those things that are most important in your life, you discover that passion is one of the keys to success for anyone, anywhere in the world.  If you're not passionate about things you're doing, you can have all the ability in the world, but you're not going to be as successful as you would be or as happy.  The clearer your passions the surer your chances of realizing them.

The presence of passion within you is the greatest gift you can receive.  When it's 
aligned with your spirit, treat it as a miracle, doing everything you can to hold on to it.
When you are enthusiastic, you are in the flow of your power and your world seems to endlessly offer you cooperative, co-creating experiences. This is because your enthusiasm and passion will trump negative reasoning you might come up with.  

Enthusiasm and passion make excuses a non issue.  When you seek the presence of your creative spirit and are filled with passion about virtually everything you undertake, you'll successfully remove the road blocks from your life and enjoy the presence of your spirit and your purpose.

There's absolutely no reason why everyone can't have the life they choose.  You can create your life exactly as you want, but not if you're sacrificing your life's energy for something other than what you're most passionate about.   It is the surest way to act upon your unique calling and mission, as well as express your inner magnificence.  When you embrace your beliefs it enables you to create your optimum reality.

Segment - 3 “Let nothing dim the light within”

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”  It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be so brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous.   Actually, who are you not to be?  Your playing small does not serve the world.  There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. 

We are all meant to shine, we were born to manifest our unique purpose.  It's not just some of us, it's in everyone. We are born with light - it's within us right now, but the busy world can make us forget.  Our light comes from within and when life conspires to turn out that light we must find it for ourselves, within ourselves.  Our light needs to be turned on in order to illuminate the path to our souls calling.  “Once you turn your light on, everything in your life reflects back the light as you express the truth of who you really are."  Gail Larsen, Founder of Real speaking"

Segment 4 - “You are Ready”

Don't squeeze your amazingness into a square box. Take all the space you need and let it spill over the sides.  Be the unique you, you were meant to be. Recognize your own gifts and acknowledging that it is okay not to fit in.  As we acknowledge our gifts, the world acknowledges them too.

Is there something in your life that you’re doing that is not serving you?  Write a list of ten things you feel passionate about or that you love doing, or are your unique gifts.  Keep this list and add to it as you uncover more about what lights you up, it will empower you to take that action to realize your dream.  Only you know if you're in a shadow career for your soul.

Watching from the sidelines is agony.  Your gifts are to be expressed and if you don't actively do something with them, the universe will find a way to coax them out of you.  The longer you stay in a situation that doesn't fit, the harder it is to take a leap towards your highest calling.  I know it is not easy when you've worked so hard at something and how letting all that go is a scary prospect.  But in the end, it won't be as scary or as hard as you think. The sooner you leap, the sooner you will look back and say, I'm so glad that I found the courage to leap.  Living an unfulfilled life and learning to be good at the things you don't enjoy won't make you happy.

You're ready.  That thing your called to do.  Do it.  Those words you're bursting to say.  Say them.  That dream you've always had. Live it.  That call deep within your soul.  Answer it.  That thing that lights you up.  Lose yourself in it.
Don't wait until all your ducks are in a row. Go do it now.  Don't wait to feel ready.  Just do your dance.  It's time you're ready.
